HD Video 02:01:17 min loop Klemens Gasser & Tanja Grunert Gallery, New York City, 2014 The video Spacing in the Womb is an extension of a video Body in Space. Showing the rising figure (my own body being painted with neon paint under UV florescent light). The body that was evolving slowly from the previous video is now formed as a whole, the body wanting to find its own space, reaching out and dealing with space and time. Forming a body language searching relation, connection and communication within itself as well with in it’s space. A gentle, delicate song from a childhood memory plays from a music box in the background. The black and white trees, opposite like day and night, complement each other and emphasize the contrast of the painted body, representing the knowledge of all the elderly trees with their visible and hidden wisdom. It symbolizes the neural connections in the brain, showing how new connections can be built and renewed… The body wants to challenge the boundaries of space and explore the dimension and expansion until it settles back down into a fetal position, resting, breathing, back in its center, folded into itself, waiting to evolve again… more info about Body In Space: Body in Space is part of the second level of consciousness, which I call the Instinctive Level, the level of the inter-dimensional and the personal. This is where all memories are stored, from different lifetimes of evolution. All ancient tribal symbols, initiation ceremonies, crystals of wisdom and ancient deep water creatures which teach us humans about body movements and body memories are stored at this level, each individual and his own cells, memories and development. Like imprinted tattoos, printed inside the body, layer by layer of traditions, patterns and knowledge are being formed and re-formed, all over again. They are illustrated by the painted figure which transforms itself from colors, shapes, sound vibrations and healing sounds that accompany the processes of change by replicating half of the body which makes the new forms and different bodies into my own body. The paint becomes a living network of extensions connecting new channels and pathways through the body like the network of our nervous system growing and developing throughout one’s life. The last part of this videoart has an holistic element which heals the challenge that arises in the story (in the video) of the journey taken from the present time, dream time, memory time, time in which the body develops materially in the rhythm of natural processes. In the last part of the video Body in Space, the story evolves into a mandala, using a kaleidoscope effect, which provides the possibility of healing. It creates out of the materials a new world of colors, forms, wonders, childhood, and dreams, full of infinite opportunities of change and renewed creation, in a kind of meditation and internal processing. This brings the viewer to reflect on his or her own ongoing processing of endless opportunities. This mandala video helps to focus and center back again in oneself. This is the time to connect back to the breath and embrace the ongoing natural movement, to let the mind relax so it can open the space for the gap between each breath to feel the peace with in. more info about FRAGILE check out this link : http://taleshed.com/fragile-2014-2/

About Spacing in the Womb

The video Spacing in the Womb, (2014) is an extension of a video Body in Space.

It symbolizes the neural connections in the brain, showing how new connections can be built and renewed. The body wants to challenge the boundaries of space and explore the dimension and expansion until it settles back down into a fetal position, resting, breathing, back in its center, folded into itself, waiting to evolve again.
